“Hearts and kidneys are TINKER TOYS!”

So anyway, this article is unbelievable. Apparently some scientists were able to take dead hearts from a rat and a pig and were able to make them function again by adding some cells from neonatal and newborn rats/pigs. As they mention in the article, the implications for this are huge. They could make it so people who need organ transplants can have a new donor organ infused with their own stem cells. Then their body would be much less likely to reject the donor organ. Very fascinating.
